Our Instructor
Our head instructor is a CHA certified riding instructor.
She also holds a BS in Agricultural Education and Associate Degrees in Animal Science and Livestock Health. She has
thirty years of experience with horses and has spent many of those years instructing, including the last ten years at Overlook
Farm. Her instruction is geared towards creating harmony between horse and rider in a safe and positive environment.
"These are fundamental
and ancient principles...because they go right back to the great initiator of the noble, equestrian art, to the Greek Xenophon,
statestman and great soldier, who, in approximately 400 BC, wrote a comprehensive work about horses and riding, which has
remained the pattern for all masters of the art down to the present day and has basically never been excelled.... Here man's
astounding brain seems helpless, because what he is confronted with are the unalterable laws of nature: horse and rider,
the same today as they were then." -- Ann Tizia Leitich
